    Managing uncertainty in knowledge-based systems, Bayesian networks, Dempster- Shafer's theory of evidence, Decision-making theory, reasoning, machine learning, programming on the Internet, computer vision, deadlock detection and prevention.

    1. 1986-1988 - elaboration of scientific foundations and implementation of statistical and expert system of knowledge generation SYS8688 - partiially sponsored by industry
    2. 1990 - elaboration of database and statistical analysis system for pilot and main investigation of the impact of Chernobyl catastrophe in Poland within the programme M2-VII.
    3. 1992-1994 - main participant in the KBN research project (KBN - State Committe for Scientific Research in Poland) No 8 8302 91 02) entitled "Experimental version of intelligent decision support system"
